IMATTEC SAS
More than a yarn... A solution!!!
IMATTEC develops and produces technical yarns and textiles based on advanced materials (metals, PTFE, aramid, Vectran, IMAT'Fire, PVA ...) and multiple structures (fibres, single yarns, twisted, Multifil, monofil, covered ...) outside of all standards in order to precisely meet the customer problematics.
Our possibilities in production are : Stretch-breaking, cutting, blending, spinning (conventional or not - long fibres), twisting, covering, assemblies, winding, R&D, lab tests, chemical test, dying and treatment,... on different form of material : cable, tow, top, staple, monofilament, multifilament, roving... We are in contact with high schools and textile laboratories.
The fields of application are large for IMATTEC : protection equipments, industry, sport, filtration, aerospace, defence, design, transport ...
and the solved problems are wide : cut proof, abrasion resistance, cryogenic cold, fire, defence, UV resistance, resistance to chemistry, anti-vandalism, heating, antistatic, integrated connectors ...
The use of sampling, semi-industrial and industrial machines makes IMATTEC an ideal partner for your developments.
Here are some information about our well-known materials
- Vectran® spun yarns : high tenacity fiber, cut-proof, outstanding flex fatigue resistance, flame retardant. Developed in partnership with Kuraray (Japan) Vectran® based yarn are actually tested and/or used in aerospace, automotive, army, sport...
- IMAT'Fire® : flame and heat resistance fibre, some very important developments are in progress in firemen equipments.
- PTFE Profilen® spun yarns : low friction, flame resistant, chemical resistant, UV resistant material made by Lensing Plastics. IMATTEC is the only spinner in the world to be able to produce a pure PTFE which led to very interesting implications in the areas of composites, filtration of highly corrosive fluids, and food processing
